About

Taffy Tafalla and FamilyThis is a bio page all about Taffy and all about Rice & Worship!

WHO AM I and HOW I SAID YES TO THE LORD:
Hello, my name is Taffy (Real Name: Chris Tafalla). Grew up in Port Charlotte Florida. Accepted the Lord when I was about 8 years old. Pastor Frank Vargo of Freedom Bible Church in Port Charlotte led to me to Christ, as a Day Care Counselor at First Christian Church. The summer day camp was called Camp Glory. It was awesome!!!

SIDE NOTE:
Grew up playing baseball my whole life, which is probably the only thing I miss from when I was younger. There is nothing like being really scared when the bases are loaded and you’re up to bat and you crush it.

HOW I GOT MY NICKNAME:
Acquired the nickname in high school, my Junior Year at Charlotte High, when I started on the Varsity Squad for baseball and there were four Chris’ that started on the field. It got confusing so our coach called us by our last name, but apparently three-syllable last names were too long when you yelled it, so it was just easier to call me “Taf,” which somehow turned into “Taffy.” The whole town caught on and since my Junior Year in High School I was either Taffy, or Mr. Taffy if I was working at the daycare.

COLLEGE:
Liberty University with a Bachelor in Adolescent Science (it’s a fancy way of saying Youth Ministry).

HOW I GOT WHERE I AM TODAY:
Interned at Saddleback for two years in 2000. Kurt Johnston (Saddleback Junior High and Student Ministries Pastor) allowed me to be me and develop a Worship Leader/Pastor Music program…not because I am qualified to do music, because I am only okay; but what I have learned over the years is how to be a good coach, specifically developing student Worship Leaders/Pastors.

FAMILY:
One incredible sold out woman for God who is very hot. My wife and I have three crazy, loud children who all take after me.

    Hi Taffy,

Is it possible to sign up and pay for the worship conference any way other than the internet? According to the terms and aggreements of the ticket agency, the information given them is shared. The ticket agency also mentioned a convienence fee.
